David Keane Appointed To World Rugby Sevens Referee Selector Role
Former World Series Sevens Referee David Keane has been appointed to the World Rugby Sevens Referee Selector Panel.
He played rugby up until the age of 17 when an injury ended his playing career. Wanting to continue his involvement with the game, he took up refereeing at his school, Clongowes Wood.He continued his development in Old Belvedere and with the Leinster Rugby Referees and also spent time in Australia training with international referees Wayne Erickson, Peter Marshall and Stuart Dickinson in the early part of his career.
Keane will also continue in his role as Participation Rugby Operations Manager with the IRFU.
